Mrs. Alma Diehl, 98, of 430 Noel Ct. died at 11:35 p.m. Thursday (July
22, 2004) at Blessing Hospital.

Born February 13, 1906 near Barry, Illinois, Alma was the daughter of
Orsen and Mary Hastings Gallaher. She married Oscar T. Diehl on February 13,
1929 in Oquawka, Illinois. He died July 3, 1981.

Alma was a member of the Melrose Chapel United Methodist Church. She
enjoyed crocheting and growing flowers and was a devoted mother and
grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving is her daughter, Lola Bilderback and her husband Richard of
Quincy; three grandchildren, Gwen Wesselman and Bradley Bilderback, both of
Quincy, and Lana Bilderback of Fithian, IL.; and two great granddaughters,
Megan and Kara Wesselman, both of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers,
Loren and Vernon Gallaher; and one sister, Eva Kistner.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 at the Zehender
Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Spratt. Burial will
be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 3:00 until 6:00 and Monday
morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

WTJR.
