Mrs. Dorothy Delma Dirks, 94, of Macon, Georgia, formerly of Quincy, died Wednesday (September 11, 2002) in Macon, Georgia. Born October 11, 1907 in Fowler, Illinois, Dorothy was the daughter of Willie and Clara Dickhut Aneals. She married Bernd Dirks in 1926 in Quincy. He died in 1972. Surviving is a daughter, Lois J. Herrick of Macon, Georgia; two grandchildren, Kathy L. Herrick of Macon, Georgia and Ben Herrick and his wife Lisa of Augusta, Georgia; three great grandchildren, Trey Herrick, Stephen Herrick and Tyler Herrick all of Augusta, Georgia. Mrs. Dirks was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Roy Aneals; and two sisters, Pearl Anderson and Myrtle Dickhut. Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. V. Lee Amsler. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the services. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Faith Assembly of God Church. |
