LELA MAE DUNNIGAN

Mrs. Lela Mae Dunnigan, 91, of Sunset Home, died at 7:07 p.m. Monday (August 9, 2004) at the home. Born August 26, 1912 in Meyer, IL., Lela was the daughter of Walter Lewis and Edna May Tuttle Ferguson. She married Edward A. Dunnigan on December 4, 1944 in Seattle, WA. He died April 25, 1996. Mrs. Dunnigan enjoyed china painting and was employed at Motorola until its closing. Surviving is a daughter, Barbara Swenson and her husband Ben of Quincy; two grandchildren, Tammy Viar and her husband Randy and Kelsey Swenson, all of Quincy; and three great grandchildren, Christian, Maxwell and Isaac Viar, all of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Chester L., George D., Ray T., and Robert I. Ferguson; and one sister, Frances M. Nesselbush. Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at Graceland Cemetery by Pastor Tom Waters. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Sunset Home. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
