| Mr. Glenn E. Eager, 73, of Quincy, died at 12:48 p.m. Monday (July 22, 2002) in the Blessing Hospital emergency
room. Born January 4, 1929 in Rutland, Illinois, Glenn was the son of George Ernest and Elsie Williams Eager. He married Jean A. Benjamin on February 18, 1983 in Quincy. She survives. Glenn was employed by the Colorado Springs Street Department Waterworks for many years and then was a bartender at the Labor Temple for many years until his retirement. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He also enjoyed woodworking. Also surviving are five daughters; Michelle Hall of Parks, CO., Deborah McCormick and Rachel Aman, both of Quincy, Wendy Castagno of Columbia, MO., and Mary Wittler of Grants Pass, OR; a step daughter, Sally Hogan of Columbia, MO.; two step sons, Daniel Watson of Bakersfield, CA. and Michael Watson of Shelbina, MO.; 14 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Mr. Eager was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and a sister. Private family graveside services will be held in the Sunset Cemetery in Quincy by the Rev. George Tomko. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Glenn Eager Memorial Fund. |
