| Mr. Jimmie "Jim" Eager, 68, of 3331 Chestnut, died at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday (June 11, 2002) in Blessing
Hospital. Born April 2, 1934 in Quincy, Jim was the son of William L. and Blanche Stice Eager. He married Shirley Howlett on August 25, 1956 in Quincy. She survives. Mr. Eager was a member of Melrose Chapel United Methodist Church. He attended Quincy High School and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, walking, and the companionship of his dog Bubba. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Jim was employed as a welder at Michelmann Steel Construction Company for 42 years until his retirement. Also surviving is one daughter, Kim Booth and her husband Cary of Quincy; one son, James A. Eager of Quincy; five grandchildren, Nancy Jo Booth, Kimber Vollbracht, and Kyle, Conner, and Madelyn Eager, all of Quincy; one great granddaughter, Ashley Vollbracht of Quincy; one brother, David Eager and his wife Donna of Quincy; two sisters, Betty Schoch, and Lois Peters and her husband Howard, both of Clarksville, TN.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Eager was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation rites were accorded to Mr. Eager. Graveside memorial services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. Leonard Williamson. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Stroke Club at Blessing Hospital. |
