Mr. Edward Leon Ensor Sr., 91, of LaGrange, Missouri, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday (February 4, 2003) in his home. Born September 18, 1911 in Cass County, Iowa, Leon was the son of William A. and Chlora Lorah Ensor. He married Marjorie Helen Welch on December 24, 1940 in Hardin, Montana. She died November 14, 2001. Mr. Ensor was a member of the Canton Craft Lodge No. 287, St. Louis Consistory, NEMO Shrine Club, Moolah Temple of St. Louis and the Good Sam Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Ensor was a rancher in Sheridan, Wyoming until moving to LaGrange in 1952 where he also farmed and was a master mechanic and truck driver. Surviving are three sons, Edward L. Ensor Jr. and Richard Ensor and his wife Frances all of LaGrange and William Ensor of Leesburg, MO.; a daughter, Joyce Phillips of Covington, VA.; and several grandchildren. Mr. Ensor was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife. Cremation rites were accorded to Mr. Ensor. Private family services will be held at a later date.
