| Mr. James L. Farran, 59, of 635 South 11th, died at 9:21 a.m. Tuesday (May 14, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born September 12, 1942 in Center, MO., Jim was the son of George and Anna Mae Quaite Farran. He married Darlene Riney on November 21, 1974 in Quincy. She survives. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and he loved being active with his grandchildren. He was employed as the Produce Manager for Kroger Grocery Store in Quincy for 29 years and was currently the Produce Manager for County Market at 9th & Jefferson. Also surviving is his step father, Elmer "Pete" Parrack of Quincy; a son, Danny Farran of St. James, MO.; three daughters, Beckie Todd and her husband Mike and Tia Farran both of Quincy and Cindy Russell of St. James, MO.; seven grandchildren, Michael Todd, Alyssa Todd, Kaitlyn Farran and Tiara Hoing all of Quincy, Shannan Russell and Richard Russell both of St. James, MO. and Anthony Farran of California; three brothers, William "Bill" Farran and his wife Barb of Leslie, MI., Jack Farran and his wife Clara of St. Louis, MO. and Ray Parrack of Springfield, IL.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Farran was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wanda Seydel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Friday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
