KAY FIERGE
 

Mrs. Kay Fierge, 55, of 1130 E. 1323rd Lane, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday (April 11, 2004) in her home after a long battle with cancer.

Born June 21, 1948 in Quincy, Kay was the daughter of Clarence O. and Gladys F. Balsar Pribble. She married Jim Fierge on September 3, 1977 in Quincy. He survives.

Kay enjoyed cooking and doing floral arranging. She loved to frequent local festivals and craft shows and collected angel figurines, elaborate paperweights and snoopy memorabilia.

A 1966 graduate of Payson Seymour High School, Kay was employed as a buyer in the purchasing department of Blessing Hospital for over 30 years.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; four daughters, Michelle Kay Marshall, Lisa Edwards and her husband Michael all of Quincy, Lori Harrett and her husband Rick and Jo Prusinski and her husband David all of Las Vegas, NV.; a son, Jamie Fierge and his wife Misty of Quincy; six grandchildren, Mathew Koehler, Mackenzie Koehler and Jimmie Fierge all of Quincy and Cody Harrett, Elisha Prusinski and Nathaniel Prusinski all of Las Vegas, NV.; two great grandchildren, Destiny Koehler and Devon Robb both of Quincy; a brother, Charles L. Pribble and his wife Ranella of Ely, IA.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fierge was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Randy Pate. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the charity of the donors choice.
