Deana Hawkins Flannigan, 41, of Rockford, IL., formerly of Quincy, died Friday (August 15, 2003) at a hospital in Rockford. Born October 10, 1961 in Quincy, Deana was the daughter of Jackie Richard and Mary Hickman Hawkins Sr. She married Morris Flannigan on October 12, 1982 in Quincy. Deana was a member of Celestial Christian Center in Rockford and a 1979 graduate of Quincy Senior High School. Deana has been currently employed for several years as a supervisor at Milestone Group Home in Rockford. Surviving are her parents, Jackie Richard and Mary Hickman Hawkins Sr. of Quincy; three daughters, Osha Flannigan of Rockford; Shamara Brock of Brooklyn Park, MN., and Lakeisha Brock of Mendota Heights, MN.; one son, Demoris Flannigan of Rockford; two grandchildren, Satchell Brock of Brooklyn Park, MN., and Tationa Clark of Mendota Heights, MN.; one brother, Jackie Richard Hawkins Jr. of Quincy; two sisters, Anita Rae Day of Harvey, IL., and Sonya Robinson of Sauk Village, IL.; a dear friend, Tony Lumas of Rockford; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in laws. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Neomi Shaw; her maternal grandparents, Elgie and Velma Humphrey; and one uncle, Herbert Hawkins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 in Cathedral of Worship Church by Bishop E. L. Warren Jr. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Deana Flannigan Memorial Fund. |
