| Mrs. Ruth M. Franke, 87, formerly of 1420 Adams, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (April 7, 2001) in LeRoy Manor in
LeRoy, IL.. Born November 15, 1913 in Adams County, Ruth was the daughter of William T. And Eva M. Wiseman Withers. She married Raymond F. Franke on June 7, 1936 in Quincy. He died on April 28, 1974. Ruth was a member of Madison Park Christian Church. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and was active for many years with the Quincy Community Little Theatre, helping to make costumes for the shows. Ruth was employed for 14 years at J. C. Penney at 6th & Maine until her retirement on December 31, 1978. Surviving is a son, James Franke and his wife Linda of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Edward Franke of Minneapolis, MN. and Richard Franke and Jennifer Franke both of Bloomington, IL.; three great grandchildren, Jesika Franke, JadeLee Franke, and Skyler Franke all of Bloomington; a brother, Harold J. Withers of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Floyd Withers; and a sister, Alma Hoffman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in Madison Park Christian Church by the Rev. Keith Ehresman. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4 :00 to 7 :00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Wednesday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at Madison Park Christian Church.
