MURLEINE "MICKEY" BROWN FUNK
 

Mrs. Murleine "Mickey" Brown Funk, 83, of the Good Samaritan Home, died Wednesday (November 26, 2003) in Good Samaritan Home.

Born January 26, 1920 in Emerson, Missouri, Mickey was the daughter of William F. and Sarah E. Gardhouse Favrhow. She was married to Stanley Thomas Brown who preceded her in death in 1955. She later married Lyman A. "Al" Funk on June 21, 1980. He died on February 23, 1996.

Mickey was a member of Faith Christian Church and supported many different charities in the Quincy area. She loved music and played professionally on the Hannibal Riverboat for 14 years and at many social events throughout the area.

Mickey worked as a nurse with Dr.Clark at the P & S Clinic for 29 years until her retirement.

Survivors include three sons, Jacke T. Brown, Jerry L. Brown and his wife Rosie and Ronald D. Brown and his wife Paulette all of Quincy; a daughter in law, Barbara Jean Brown of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Fields and her husband Larry, Stanley R. Brown, LuAnne Clampitt, Kimberly Mast and her husband Kirt, David Edward Brown and his wife Cindy, Christine Hermann and her husband John and Brandon Dean Brown and his wife Cristine all of Quincy; a step granddaughter, Kristie Gower of Quincy; 10 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; two sisters, Wilma Pierce of Yucca Valley, CA. and Beaulah Butikofer and her husband Bert of Elgin, IA.; and several nieces and nephews.

Murleine was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two great grandchildren; and four brothers, Earl, Donald, Elmo and Harvey Favrhow.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Henry Pratt. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home Alzheimer's Unit or the charity of the donor's choice.
