Mr. Larry D. Gallaher, 63, of 6322 Broadway, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday (April 8, 2003) in Blessing Hospital. Born February 25, 1940 in Quincy, Larry was the son of Ted and Ruth Haskins Gallaher. He married Judith Wagner on January 14, 1972 in Monticello, Missouri. She survives. Larry attended Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of the Great River Radio Club and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and race car fan, especially Nascar. Larry loved to tinker with cars and anything that involved electronics. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Mr. Gallaher owned and operated Gallaher Electronics at 6322 Broadway for over 30 years. Surviving is a daughter, Ruth Ann Frese and her husband Thomas of Quincy; three grandchildren, Camryn Alexis Frese, Payden Olivia Frese and Ian Thomas Frese all of Quincy; two nieces, Lynn Harris and her husband Larry of Quincy and Vickie Christ and her husband John of Florida; and a nephew, Michael Hase and his wife Tammy of Seattle, WA. Mr. Gallaher was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Joan Hase. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Franklin Silas. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Friday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grandchildren's Educational Fund. |
