Mrs. Willa Madge Gish, 83, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2515 Maine, died at 4:02 p.m. Monday (September 23, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born March 12, 1919 in Loraine, Illinois, Madge was the daughter of William and Ilene Nutt Michael. She married Vardner "Bud" Gish on February 7, 1951 in Quincy. He survives. Madge was a member of Union United Methodist Church. Also surviving is a sister, Marjorie Hudson of Quincy; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Gish was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Grace Michael and Lucille Mensendick. Cremation rites were accorded to Mrs. Gish. Private family services were held Thursday afternoon in the Loraine Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Morwell. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home. |
