| Mrs. Dorothy Golden, 82, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 1300 Chestnut, died at 2:17 p.m. Friday (October
5, 2001) in Blessing Hospital. Born January 28, 1919 in Rutledge, MO., Dorothy was the daughter of Oscar Lee and Margaret Elizabeth Sharpe Logan. She married Albert R. Golden on May 11, 1937 in Palmyra, MO. He died August 12, 1990. Dorothy was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a former member of Grace Whipple Chapter Order of Eastern Star and played in the Lampe Hi Rise Kitchen Band. Surviving are two daughters, Henrietta Wells and her husband Jerry of Quincy and Geraldine Schuttler of Kissamee, FL.; six grandchildren, Shane Pollard of Lisle, IL., and Yvonne Suzette Hobbs and her husband Dale, Terry Wells and his wife Nancy, Peggy Lambert and her husband Phillip, Kima Walton and her husband Steve and Billie Jo Wells all of Quincy; 10 great grandchildren; 12 step great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret McGhee and her husband William of Sunrise, MO. and Genevieve Pielruk and her husband Tony of McMinnville, OR. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Daniel Dienst and Albert Golden; a granddaughter; a sister, Bernice Vericott; and a brother, Eldon Logan. Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum by the Rev. Charles Baker. There will be no visitation but friends are invited to the services. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. |
