Mrs. Constance Graham, 84, of 3914 North 12th, died Monday (November 3, 2003) in Blessing Hospital.

Born June 15, 1919 in Quincy, Connie was the daughter of Frank and Adelaide Thomas Chatten. She married Ralph Graham Jr. on September 5, 1942 in Quincy. He survives.

Connie was a 1937 graduate of Quincy High School. She attended Monmouth College and graduated from Quincy College with a Bachelor's Degree in English and Education. She taught English and served as the sponsor for the Jr. Hi Lites newspaper at Quincy Junior High School from 1961 to 1968.

Mrs. Graham was a member of Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the P. E. O., Pi Beta Phi Sorority and had been active with the Little Theatre, YWCA and PTA. Connie loved to play golf and was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph of Quincy; a daughter, Sharon Graham of Pittsboro, North Carolina; a daughter in law, Celeste Graham of Salmon, Idaho; three grandchildren, Joshua Graham of Kuna, ID., Teresa Graham of Emmett, ID. and Benjamin Graham stationed with the U. S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, CA.; a brother, William Thomas Chatten and his wife Betty of Quincy; a sister, Joyce McKinley and her husband Don of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ralph Graham III; and a grandson, Jacob Graham.

Cremation rites were accorded to Mrs. Graham. Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Ellington Home Cemetery.
