Miss Kathy Hasting, 42, of 115 Stadium Drive, died at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday (September 25, 2002) in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Born January 12, 1960 in Quincy, Kathy was the daughter of James A. and Bonnie Rankin Hasting. Kathy owned and operated Kate's Meat Market at 5th & Chestnut and later was employed as a meat inspector for the USDA until her retirement in 1989 because of ill health. Surviving is her mother, Bonnie Exline of Quincy; a son, Shawn Hasting and his fiance' Amy Schutte of Quincy; four brothers, David Hasting and his wife Judy, Kevin Hasting, Randy Hasting and his wife Julie and Terry Hasting and his wife Sheila all of Quincy; three sisters, Linda Hasting, Christina Schroder and Diana Hasting all of Quincy; and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James; her paternal grandparents, Walter and Edith Hasting; her maternal grandparents, Francis and Violet Rankin; and a niece, Lori Hasting Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Bruce Willard. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
