| Mrs. Willa Marguerite "Billie" Heibel, 83, of the Sunset Home, died at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday (January 23,
2002) in the home. Born March 2, 1918, in Hannibal, Missouri, Billie was a daughter of Edwin Dee and Willa Mae Gardner Taylor. She married Paul J. "P.J." Patterson in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death. She married William E. Heibel on May 10, 1958 in Wentzville, Missouri. He died on October 16, 2001. Billie was employed by the Franklin Life Insurance Company as the Editor of the Franklin Quill in Springfield, Illinois for many years. After her retirement she moved to Quincy. Surviving are two daughters Merry Ann Maynor and her husband Gary of Quincy, and Linda Pridgeon of Ballwin, Missouri; four sons Jerome D. Patterson of Shelbina, Missouri, Don Heibel of Seabrook, S. C., Bill Heibel of Hannibal, Missouri and Mike Heibel of Denver, Colorado; 17 grandchildren Garret, Greg, Rodney, Rory and Kimberly, Stephen, Keith, Susan, Laura, Lori, Elizabeth, Debbie, Theresa, Don, Mike, Joe and Jeff; 17 great grandchildren; and a sister Elizabeth Durham of Springfield, Illinois. Mrs. Heibel was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a grandson, Scott Patterson; and a brother Edwin Taylor. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Bruce Willard. Visitation will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded Mrs. Heibel following the services. Private inurnment will be in Barkley Cemetery near New London, MO. at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Home or Madison Park Christian Church. |
