Mr. Norman Henze, 60, of rural Camp Point, died at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday (March 30, 2004) in Blessing Hospital. Born July 5, 1943 in Evansville, Indiana, Norman was the son of Henry M. and Emma S. Marsh Henze. He married Marilyn Kinder on February 1, 1964 in Union United Methodist Church in Quincy. She survives. Norm was an active member of Camp Point United Methodist Church and served on the Adams County Fair Board. He raised Registered Quarter Horses and Paint Horses and enjoyed restoring old tractors. Norm began his career with Adams Electrical Cooperative in 1964 as a groundman and later as a journeyman lineman. In 1992 he became Line Foreman until 1996 when he became Maintenance Supervisor. In 1980, Norm was a Hot Line Maintenance School Instructor. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a son, Darrell Henze and his wife Holly of Palmyra, MO.; a daughter, Juna Kill and her husband William of Camp Point; four grandchildren, Hilary Vice and her husband Tim of Quincy and Kindra Henze of Palmyra, MO. and Cody Kill and Marley Kill both of Camp Point; a sister, Phyllis D. Brown and her husband Gerald of Quincy; a sister in law, Judy Kinder of New London, MO.; and four nephews, Jeffrey Beecher of Quincy, Randy Beecher of North Little Rock, AR., John David Kinder of Quincy and Jeff Kinder of New London, MO. Mr. Henze was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother in law, Eugene Kinder. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Camp Point United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jeffrey Rasche. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Camp Point United Methodist Church and Saturday from 9:00 until the time of services at the church. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Grandchildren's Educational Fund or the Camp Point United Methodist Church. |
