DOROTHY M. HERMSMEIER
Mrs. Dorothy M. Hermsmeier, 80, of Sunset Home, formerly of 830 South 16th, died at 12:50 a.m. Thursday February 1, 2001 in the home.

Born August 8, 1920 in Quincy, Mrs. Hermsmeier was the daughter of Earl and Edna Strate Baldwin. She married Walter R. Hermsmeier on November 18, 1945 in Quincy. He survives.

Mrs. Hermsmeier was a life long member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was a 1938 graduate of Quincy High School and a graduate of Gem City Business College.

Dottie enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

Mrs. Hermsmeier was a secretary to State Senator Frank Dick for eight years.

Also surviving is a daughter, Linda Danhaus and her husband Paul of Wausau, Wis.; two sons, Robert K. Hermsmeier and his wife Glenda of Sacramento, CA., and Bradley Glen Hermsmeier and his wife Jeanne of Redding, CA.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Joshua Hermsmeier both of Sacramento, CA., Daniel Hermsmeier and his wife Cheryl of Winnemucca, NV., Jaclyn Hauser and her husband Daniel of Quincy, Tyler Danhaus of Wausau, WI., Andrea Windsor and Annie Windsor both of Redding, CA.; and one great granddaughter, Samantha Hermsmeier of Winnemucca, NV.

Mrs. Hermsmeier was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Stephen Schuette. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Salem Church or the charity of the donors choice.
