Mrs. Phyllis Hibbard, 72, of
Payson, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday
(November 13, 2004) at Blessing Hospital.
Born October 10, 1932 in Barry, Illinois, Phyllis was the daughter of
Carl S. and Juanita Cook Kurtz. She married Harold Hibbard on February
25,
1950 in Quincy. He survives.
Phyllis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a loving person
who devoted her life to her family.
Survivors include her husband, Harold of Payson; two sons, Eldon
Hibbard and his wife Bonnie of Quincy and
Warren Hibbard and his wife Sarah of Seymour, MO.;
three daughters, Brenna Lee Hibbard of Decatur, IL.,
Marita Johnson of Rockport, IL. and Lisa O'Brien and her husband Larry
of Fowler, IL.; eight grandchildren, Kerry Walker and her husband Elmer
of
St. Peters, MO., Dwight Hibbard and his wife Kelley and
Latisha Ludwig and her husband Jason both of Quincy,
Charity Kain and her husband Toni and Jared Hibbard both of Seymour, MO.,
Darren Nelson and his wife Christy of Bethalto, IL., Jonathan Johnson
of Rockport, IL.
and Justin Mock of Fowler, IL.;
seven great grandchildren, Derek Hibbard and Jersey Ludwig both of Quincy,
Gage Walker of St. Peters, MO., Cody Buchanan and Alyson Kain both of
Seymour, MO.
and Ashley Nelson and Nicholas Nelson both of Bethalto, IL.;
two brothers, Roger Kurtz of St. Charles, MO. and Jerry Kurtz and his
wife Gloria
of Federal Way, WA.; a sister, Anna Parrick of Quincy; and several nieces
and nephews.
Mrs. Hibbard was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother,
George Carl Kurtz.
Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 in the Payson
New Cemetery by the Rev. Brant Van Hooser.
There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services.
The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Library.
