| Glorine Hickerson, 78, of 200 Ganoe, Plainville, Illinois, died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday (April 25, 2002) in Blessing
Hospital. Born October 31, 1923 in Marblehead, Illinois, Glorine was the daughter of Theodore and Dovie Sanders Wilson. She married Frank Hickerson on February 7, 1944 in Quincy, Illinois. He died May 26, 1988. Glorine was an active member of the Plainville United Methodist Church and was currently serving as President of the United Methodist Women and had attended many Annual Conferences of the United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Quincy American Legion Post #37 Auxiliary, the Plainville Day HEA, and the Payson Senior Citizens. Surviving are two sons Dr. David Hickerson and his wife Janelle of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Michael Hickerson and his wife Mary of Plainville.; six grandchildren, Michele Turner and her husband Shawn of Edmond, Oklahoma, Melinda Miller and her husband Lonny of Plainville, Danny Hickerson and his wife Margie of Quincy and Nathaniel, Benjamin and Joshua Hickerson all of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 9 great grandchildren and one brother Royllyn "Bud" Wilson and his wife Frances of Liberty; one niece; and one nephew. Mrs. Hickerson was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband and one sister Gwendoline Wilson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy by the Rev. Ron Cox. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home in Quincy. Memorials may be made to the Plainville United Methodist Church. |
