Mr. Gary "Bear" Hill, 55, of 625 Jefferson St., died at 5:15 a.m. Friday (September 26, 2003) in Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL. Born January 30, 1948 in Quincy, Gary was the son Clifford A. and Wanda Miller Hill. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing darts, playing pool, and pitching horseshoes in the South Park League. He was employed at Good Samaritan Home in the Maintenance Department retiring in 2002 due to ill health. Surviving is his mother, Wanda Hill of Quincy; his long time companion, Cecelia Finley Hill of Quincy; two daughters, Lisa Marie Tournear and her husband Kent of Quincy, and Francine Lynch of Paxton, IL.; three sisters, Christine Bowen, Cherie Zamorsky, and Shelly Blair and her husband Jesse, all of Belton, TX; four nephews; two nieces; and a best friend. He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, David Hill. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gary Hill Memorial Fund. |
