Mr. Terry L. Hinch, 55, of 2727 Harrison, died Saturday (February 14, 2004) in a boating accident in Okeechobee, Florida Born April 27, 1948 in Quincy, Terry was the son of Charles O. and Earlene Harris Hinch. Terry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending his days fishing, hunting, and mushrooming with his friends. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, In Fisherman, NRA, and the Mississippi Valley Hunting and Fishing Association. He was a 1966 graduate of Quincy Senior High School and served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Terry retired from the Quincy Fire Department in 1999 after 28 years of service. He served as apparatus engineer for Engine Company #5 and was a certified first responder, hoseman, and driver. He was a member of the Quincy Fire Fighters Local #63. Surviving is his mother, Earlene Hinch of Quincy; his fiance, Cheryl Sprinkle of Quincy; three daughters, Denise Hinch and her fiancé Pete Dopheide of Quincy, Stephanie Beaston and her husband Chris of Tioga, and Vanessa Nutt of Quincy; a son, Gary Sprinkle of Quincy; and seven grandchildren, Jay Albert, Danielle Neuman, Nicolas Dopheide, and Blaine Shoop, all of Quincy, and Aaron Beaston, Kristin Beaston, and Devin Beaston, all of Tioga. He was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Ninnis R. and Ruby Hinch; his maternal grandparents, Ralph L. and Hazel F. Harris; and an uncle and aunt, Richard and Elsie L. Hinch. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Robert Morwell. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Friday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. |
