| Mrs. Barbara J. Hively, 67, of 1401 North 4th, died at 6:35 a.m. Thursday (April 25, 2002) in Memorial Hospital
in Springfield. Born September 21, 1934 in Hannibal, Missouri, Barbara was the daughter of Charles Albert and Juanita Branstetter Duncan. She married Louis L. Hively on March 17, 1955 in New London, Missouri. He died February 21, 2000. Barbara was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Hannibal High School and John Wood Community College. Barbara loved to travel and shop. She was employed as a CNA for many years at Brighton Pavilion until her retirement in 1999. Surviving is her mother, Juanita Duncan of Cleveland, IL.; two sons, Stephen Hively and his wife Nancy and Shawn Hively and his wife Melissa both of Quincy; two daughters, Sheryl Dedert and Christina Williams and her husband Jack both of Quincy; four grandchildren, Jeremy Hively, Amanda Dedert, Colby Dedert and Macy Lynn Hively all of Quincy; a brother, Dennis Duncan of Bolingbrook, IL.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hively was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and a brother in infancy, Dwayne Duncan. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Franklin Silas. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church. |
