| Mrs. Diana M. Irvine, 81, of 1403 Spring St., formerly of 2420 Crystal Ave., died at 2:50 p.m. Monday (October 21, 2002) in her home. Born August 16, 1921 in Medford, Wisconsin, Diana was the daughter of Archie and Lena Ludovic Haight. Diana enjoyed needlepoint and traveling. She was known in Quincy as the lady with the chopsticks in her hair and the flowers on the back of her convertible. She attended LaCrosse State University in LaCrosse, WI.. Diana worked in the Chicago Park District before moving to Quincy where she was employed at the Mental Health Clinic in Quincy for 11 years and then at Blessing Hospital for 8 years, retiring as the Director of the Long Term Care Unit in 1983. She was active with the American Red Cross and taught many classes for them over the years. Diana was the loving mother of six children. The surviving five include three sons, Dr. Robert Irvine and his wife Linda, Dr. Shawn Irvine and Timothy Irvine all of Quincy; two daughters, Diana L. Pigeon of Westfield, IN. and Kim Tabeling and her husband Richard of Jacksonville, FL.; five grandchildren, Summer L. Pigeon of Westfield, IN., Taylor Tabeling of Jacksonville, FL., and Forrest Irvine, Mariah Irvine and Robert Irvine II all of Quincy; a sister, Constance Pfiffner and her husband E. John of Prospect Heights, IL.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Irvine was preceded in death by a son, Jon Cameron Irvine; and two brothers, Wellington and William Haight. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be held Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home by Father Jim Flock. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in Medford, Wisconsin. Memorials may be made to the Jan Brink Boarding Home, 1403 Spring St.
