Mr. Joseph B. Jobgen, 84, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of East Dubuque, Illinois, died at 1:00 p.m. Friday (July 11, 2003) in the Veterans Home.

Born September 5, 1918 in Dubuque, Iowa, Mr. Jobgen was the son of Joseph and Mary Martell Jobgen.

Mr. Jobgen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in East Dubuque, IL. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during WW II.

Surviving are two sons, Randy Jobgen and his wife Julie and Gary Jobgen and his wife Mary all of of Galena, IL.; a daughter, Cathy Calvert and her husband Ken of East Dubuque, IL.; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Charles Jobgen of East Dubuque, IL. and Gerald Jobgen and his wife Judy of Dubuque, IA.; a sister, Dorothy Lamb of Dubuque, IA.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jobgen was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Richard and Robert Jobgen; one brother; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St.Mary Catholic Church in East Dubuque. Burial with Military Honors will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 in the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque.

Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home Activity Fund.
