Mrs. Florence "Kay" Klusmeier, 95, of North Adams Home, formerly
of
1509 S. 15th, died at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday (August 17, 2004) at the home.
Born December 10, 1908 in Lewistown, Missouri, Kay was the daughter
of
Bert and Valina R. Feldman Neaterour. She married Robert E. Klusmeier
on
November 25, 1937 in Monticello, MO. He died August 3, 2002.
Mrs. Klusmeier was a 1927 graduate of Lewistown High School and
attended Culver Stockton College. She was an active member of Central
Baptist Church for over 68 years where she was primary supt. for 23 years.
She also worked with youth groups and served as deaconess for several
terms.
She was chairperson of the Friends of Judson College for 12 years.
Kay taught school in Lewis County for seven years. She retired as a
bridal consultant and sales clerk from Sturhahn Jewlers in 1973.
Surviving is a niece, Noreen Carapella of Liverpool, NY. and her God
child, Jeri Wenneker of St. Louis, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother,
George E. Neaterour; and a sister in law, Arleene Neaterour.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at the Zehender
Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Dr. Charles Baker. Burial will
be
in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 1:00 until the time of
services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church.
