Mr. Randy P. Koczor, 48, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Carpentersville, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday (March 7, 2004) at the Veterans Home. Born October 2, 1955 in Chicago, Randy was the son of Robert Stanley and Audrey Buikema Koczor. Mr. Koczor served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. A graduate of McHenry High School, he worked as a roofer for Union Local #11 before moving to Texas where he was a roofer. Surviving is his mother, Audrey Lutherus of Phoenix, AZ.; two sons, Randy Koczor McNamee of Phoenix, AZ. and Ryan Koczor McNamee of Marengo, IL.; two grandchildren, Ciara McNamee of Phoenix, AZ. and Maisie McNamee of Marengo, IL.; a brother, Ricky Koczor of McHenry, IL.; two sisters, Deborah Vetter and her husband Dan of Spring Grove, IL. and Rhonda Boro and her husband John of Encinitas, CA.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Koczor was preceded in death by his father; and his step father, Otto Lutherus. Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the McHenry County Memorial Park by the Rev. Harold Ross. Military Honors will be conducted by the Woodstock V. F. W. Post 5040. There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the services.
