Mr. William H. "Bill" Landwehr, 82, of 2104 Adams, died at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday (April 7, 2004) in Blessing Hospital.

Born May 27, 1921 in Quincy, Bill was the son of William J. and Meta Schildt Landwehr. He married Virginia Juette on January 29, 1944 in Quincy. She survives.

Bill was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the 25 year Club of Quincy Compressor and a former member of the St. Mary Holy Name Society and Quincy Boat Club. He enjoyed woodworking and making yard ornaments.

Bill was employed for 38 years at Quincy Compressor, retiring in 1983 as Tool Design Manager.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a son, Thomas R. Landwehr and his fiance' Heather Tate of Quincy; two sisters, Ruth Liebmann and her husband William of Denver, CO. and Helen Garrison of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Landwehr was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Thomas William Landwehr; a brother in law, Robert Garrison; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 2:00 in St. Boniface Catholic Church by the Rev. John Carberry. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Adams County Paramedics.
