Mr. Carl I. Larimore, 94, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of Plainville, died at 2:45 a.m. Friday (April 4, 2003) in Blessing Hospital. Born August 1, 1908 in Plainville, Mr. Larimore was the son of H. O. and Edna Inman Larimore. He married Frances L. Lock on May 8, 1932 in Payson. She died November 13, 1998. Mr. Larimore was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church. He was a past master and 69 year member of Plainville Masonic Lodge No. 529 and served as lodge secretary for over 30 years. He was also a member of Quincy Consistory, Adams County Farm Bureau and the Milking Short Horn Association. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. For many years he and his wife loved to winter in Harlinten, TX. Carl was a dairy farmer in the Plainville area for over 40 years. Surviving are two sons, William N. "Bill" Larimore of Quincy and Melvin O. Larimore and his wife Nancy of Paw Paw, IL.; a daughter in law, Norma Larimore of Quincy; six grandchildren, Monica Heard and her husband Ron of Jacksonville, IL., Robin King and her husband Ron of Aledo, IL., Kevin Larimore and his wife Toni of Paw Paw, IL., Douglas Larimore and his wife Rhonda of Florissant, MO., Brian Larimore of Quincy and Kimberly Larimore of New York, N. Y.; five great grandchildren, Austin King of Aledo, IL., Lindsay Larimore and Mollie Larimore both of Paw Paw, IL. and Daniel Heard and Chloe Heard both of Jacksonville, IL.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Larimore was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Dale Larimore; one sister, Olive Schmidt; and three brothers, Maurice, Don, and Cecil Larimore. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home. Plainville Masonic Lodge No. 529 will conduct services Sunday evening at 6:00 in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Plainville Methodist Church, Good Samaritan Home, or to the Plainville Masonic Lodge # 529. |
