Mrs. Ruth Catherine Lawrence, 92, of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Quincy and Payson, died at 6:20 p.m. Friday (June 13, 2003) in the Palms of Pasadena Hospital in South Pasadena, Florida. Born July 15, 1910 in Adams County, Ruth was the daughter of Roy A. and Florence E. Seward Peter. She married Ernest L. Lawrence on December 13, 1935 in Quincy. He died March 23, 1998. Ruth was of the Methodist Faith. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and loved animals. Ruth was the last of her immediate family but is survived by relatives Phyllis Tzlbot of Vandialia, MO., Sandra Sanders of Columbia, MO., Carson and Hilda Lawrence of Bloomington, IL., Dorothy Reinebach of Quincy, Earl Kaltenbach of Clinton, MO. and Aaron Kaltenbach of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Alvin Peter. Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in Payson New Cemetery by the Rev. George Tomko. Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:45 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson. Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society. |
