Mrs. Zelma Lawrence, 91, of Good Samaritan Home, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday (July 15, 2002) in the home.

Born June 3, 1911 in Buckhorn, IL. Mrs. Lawrence was the daughter of Joseph and Nina Richardson Louth. She married Leslie Lawrence on December 24, 1935 in Macomb. He died May 22, 1977.

Zelma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Grace Whipple Chapter O. E. S. where she received her 50 year pin in 2001, Salvation Army Auxiliary, Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary and she was a volunteer for many years with the American Red Cross and Blessing Hospital.

Mrs. Lawrence began working for Halbach Shroder and Company in 1952 and retired from Carson, Pairie, Scott and Company in 1972.

Surviving is a grandson, Michael Resler and his wife Kimberly of Moline; a granddaughter, Julie Kautz and her husband Jeffrey of Moline; and five great grandchildren, Shelby Resler, Logan Resler, Haley Resler, Matthew Kautz and Emily Kautz all of Moline.

Mrs. Lawrence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Cynthia Bolin; two brothers, Charles Louth and Roy Louth; and a sister, Olive Pendleton.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev Rod Baker. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Women's City Club.
