Maude A. Linneman, 90, of Grand Junction, Colo., a former Quincy resident,
died Friday (July 20, 2001) at Larchwood Inns.
Mrs. Linneman was born in Illinois on Oct. 28, 1910, a daughter of William
and Minnie Ogle Inslee. She married Charles H. Linneman Jr. on Aug.
22, 1931, to in Quincy. He died April 28, 1958.
She graduated from Quincy High School and Gem City Business College.
She worked as a secretary for many years. She was a member of Salem
Evangelical Church and sang in the church choir for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Linneman moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1958, and worked as
a secretary for the Colorado Springs Executives Association for more
than 17 years. She retired in 1977. She moved with her family to Grand
Junction in
1985.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a member
of P.E.O. Chapter CY of Grand Junction.
Maude was a great mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed
by all.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alice Kaye and James
R. McConnell from Grand Junction, Colo.; and her two grandchildren,
Kendra of Longmont, Colo. and Jimmy of Fort Collins, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Letha
L. Powers. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenmount
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Zehender
Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Evangelical Church choir.
