| Mrs. Sharon Butler Logsdon, 66, of the Sycamore Health Care Center, formerly of 1114 North 6th, died at 2:50 p.m.
Sunday (November 11, 2001) in Sycamore Health Care Center. Born October 28, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI., Sharon was the daughter of Paul and Catherine Fagan Butler. She married Wilfred Loos and later married Robert Shafer and William Logsdon. Sharon was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for many years for Al-Anon. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she enjoyed shopping, craft shows and carousel horses. Sharon was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. Sharon was a Certified Nurse Assistant working in Home Health Care and later for Olsten Home Health Care and Upjohn Home Health Care. She was honored by Upjohn as the Employee of the Year in 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Drew and her husband Daniel of Sterling, IL. and Karen K. Shafer of St. Paul, MN.; three sons, Michael D. Loos and his wife Sandy of St. Charles, IA., Steven D. Loos and his wife Lorna of Lexington, KY. and Robert P. Shafer of Quincy; ten grandchildren, James Loos, Jessica Loos, Jennifer Loos, Emily Loos, Ashley Garnett, Danielle Drew, Joshua Drew, Dylan Drew, Jesse Drew and Isaiah Smith; an Aunt who helped raise her, Jean Suhren of Quincy; an ex-daughter in law, Marty Loos of Quincy; and a special friend, Kenneth Boehl of Quincy. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; two Aunts who helped raise her, Zola Merkel and Eva Marie Butler; and several other Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. David Alberts. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Sharon Butler Logsdon Memorial Fund |
