Ms. Jeanne Long, 56, of 2037 Cedar, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday (March 25, 2004) in Blessing Hospital.

Born September 16, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri, Jeanne was a daughter of Cecil E. and Dorothy M. Staggs Pugh.

Jeanne was a graduate of Quincy High School. She was was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed shopping and dining with her mother and loved visiting with her daughter and the one she loved. She also loved feeding her pet squirrels and chipmunk and all the many birds.

She was a well known Quincy Herald Whig Photographer for over 18 years taking pictures of many Quincy area events and happenings.

Surviving is her Fiancé Mark Alexander and his son Kyle both of Quincy, one daughter Dana Richardson and her husband David of Matthews, N. C.; three grandchildren Rebekah, Nathan and Hannah Richardson all of Matthews, N. C . and her mother Dorothy Pugh of Quincy; one brother Doug Pugh of Champaign, Illinois and two sisters Judith Pennock and her husband Charles of Corpus Christi, Texas and Lori Odijk and her husband Andre' of Affton, Missouri

She was preceded in death by her Father Cecil, Maternal Grandparents Ennis Staggs and Ona Mae Thrasher and Paternal Grandparents Marvin and Bessie Pugh.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Pratt. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday Evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home and Tuesday until time of services.

Memorials may be made to the Gift of Hope.
