Mr. Gerry Loos, 85, of 1472 North 600th Ave., Liberty, died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday (July 3, 2001) in his home.
Born December 18, 1915 in Marblehead, IL, Mr. Loos was the son of Charles David and Elva Brown Loos. He married
Edna Wolf on November 18, 1939 in Hannibal, MO. She survives.
Mr. Loos was a member of the Burton Presbyterian Church and served for 9 years on the Board of Directors of the
Adams County Shippers Association. He loved to read and watch television.
Mr. Loos farmed all of his life in Adams County.
Also surviving is a son, Dennis Loos and his wife Carolyn of Bethel, MO; a daughter, Carol Lewis of Plainville;
seven grandchildren, Jill Lewis, Sara Lewis, Jason Lewis and Daniel Loos and his wife Karessa all of Quincy, Carrie
Wright and her husband Steven of Pleasant Hill, IL, Denise Wright and her husband John of Hamburg, IL. and Dasha
Thomas and her husband John of Bethel, MO; 11 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 2 step great great
grandchildren; a brother, Harlan Loos and his wife Dorothy of LaGrange, MO; a sister, Olive Cook of Quincy; and
several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Loos was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Dennis Loos Jr.; a granddaughter, Tesa Loos; and two
brothers, Charles Stephen Loos and Elmo Loos.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson
by the Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Bluff Hall Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Friday until the time of services in the funeral home
in Payson.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
