Mrs. Hazel Lord, 90, of Sycamore Healthcare Centre, formerly of 826 N. Fifth, died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday (December 22, 2001) in the home.

Born May 4, 1911, in Bushnell, Hazel was a daughter of Walter C. and Mildred Wilder Wolfe. She married Donald E. Lord July 15, 1930, in Carthage. They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary July 15, 2001. He survives.



Hazel was of the Methodist faith. She was a past president of the Eagles Auxiliary a member of the Women of the Moose and a 50-year member of the Plymouth Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards at the Eagles, square dancing, family reunions, gardening and traveling. Hazel had been employed at the A & W Root Beer Restaurant and the Elks Club.

Also surviving are two daughters, Donna Babb of Quincy and Carol Sue Raymond of Orange Park, Fla.; three sons , Larry Lord and William Lord, both of Tampa, Fla., and Joe Lord and his wife, Pamela, of Plainville; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Lord; and infant son; and two sisters, Ruth Step and Lucille Barker.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Roger Selves. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Sycamore Healthcare Centre activity fund.
