Mr. John "Junior" Maggart, 76, of Canton, MO., formerly of Quincy, died at 2:00 a.m. Thursday (May 29, 2003) in his residence. Born November 1, 1926 in Kirksville, Missouri, Junior was the son of John A. and Goldie M. Wiedenkofer Maggart. Junior enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked in highway construction for many years. Surviving is a son, Larry Maggart of Quincy; two daughters, Linda Maggart of Canton, MO. and Kay Lyn Maggart of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Tyler Maggart, Jaiden Bommarito, Jeslyn Bommarito, Amelia Bommarito, Isabella Bommarito, Brittany Maggart and Blake Poling; a brother, Wayne Maggart and his wife Virginia of Quincy; two sisters, Agnes Bowen and Lucy Owsley both of Quincy; and a sister in law, Rita Maggart of Quincy. Mr. Maggart was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gail Maggart Sr. and Billie Maggart Sr.; and a sister, Daisy Wardlow. Graveside services will be Monday morning at 10:30 in Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. George Tomko. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:15 to 10:15 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Junior Maggart Memorial Fund. |
