| Mrs. Marie Maggart, 81, of 708 Jefferson, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday (September 21, 2001) in Blessing Hospital. Born January 1, 1920 in Connelsville, MO., Marie was the daughter of A. Everett and Alta M. Findling Stiles. She married Gail E. Maggart Sr. on June 4, 1938 in Kirksville, MO. He died May 22, 1988. Marie enjoyed reading and sewing and taking care of her family. Surviving are two daughters, Colene Fenton and her husband Richard and Connie Alcorn and her husband Larry all of Quincy; nine grandchildren, Randy Fenton, Rick Fenton and Eddie Fenton all of Quincy, Debbie Lung and her husband Gary and Cheri Fenton both of St. Charles, MO., Cami Chapman of Ft. Mill, S. C. and Greg Maggart and his wife Melena, Julie Grant and Scott Grant all of Rock Hill, S. C.; seven great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Stiles and his wife Bearda of Ottumwa, IA. and Ralph Stiles and his wife Hildreth of Quincy; three sisters, Lois Preston of Boones Camp, KY. and Patsy Stiles and Shirley Stiles both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maggart was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Gail Maggart Jr.; a granddaughter, Shelly Lynn Alcorn; a brother, Lloyd Stiles; and two sisters, Maxine Brokaw and Darlene Stiles in infancy. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Chaplain Susan Bays. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Marie Maggart Memorial Fund or the charity of the donor's choice. |
