| Mr. Glen Ray Manton, 68, of 1539 Ohio, died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday (April 25, 2002) in his home. Born September 3, 1933 in Pike County, IL., Glen was the son of George William and Eva Nora Kallenbach Manton. He married Jessie Meado on January 29, 1964. She survives. Glen was a member of the Quincy Church of Christ. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He farmed in Brown County for several years. Also surviving are four sons, Greg Manton and his wife Patty of Clayton, Jerry Manton and his wife Deborah of Quincy, Kevin Manton and his wife Julie of Wayland, MO. and Robert Manton and his wife Bobbi of Keokuk, IA.; three daughters, Patsy Weppler, Tammy Kaufman and Peggy Manton all of Quincy; two step sons, Bill Bouchez and Robert Bouchez both of Quincy; a step daughter, Ann Baldwin of Jacksonville, IL; a brother, Dale Manton of Mt. Sterling, IL.; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Mr. Manton was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by James Riley, Minister of Quincy Church of Christ. There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice. |
