Mrs. E. Ellaine McNett, 89, of the North Adams Home, formerly of Quincy and Tipton, Missouri, died at 5:43 p.m. Monday (December 23, 2002) in North Adams Home.

Born March 17, 1913 in Kinderhook, Illinois, Ellaine was the daughter of Ralph and Fannie Kropp Kelley. She married Lorel B. McNett in April 1933. He died August 26, 1951.

Ellaine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton, Missouri and was a past group chairman and treasurer for the Women's Missionary Union.

Mrs. McNett was a co-owner and office manager of a dry cleaners in California, Missouri and was later employed for many years at Ben Franklin in Tipton, Missouri.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Hoskins and her husband Jack of Quincy; three sisters in law, Betty Wheeler and Carol Parsons and her husband Kenneth all of Quincy and Laura McNett of Roodhouse, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McNett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Leonard and Lewis Kelley.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Rains. Burial will be in the Kinderhook Cemetery in Kinderhook, Illinois.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to North Adams Home or the charity of the donor's choice.
