| Mr. James Michael "Mick" Mehaffy, 60, of 3726 Holiday Drive., died at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday (November 21,
2001) in the emergency room of Blessing Hospital. Born December 22, 1940 in Woodland, CA., Mick was the son of Edward J. and Agnes Beers Mehaffy. He married Marilyn Murphy on March 25, 1961 in Quincy. She survives. Mick was an active member of Madison Park Christian Church, and a member of Union Local #25. A 1959 graduate of Quincy High School, Mick worked as a plumber for 43 years, retiring on May 1, 2001 after 19 years with Thomas Plumbing and Heating in Galesburg. Also surviving is his Step Mother, Margaret Mehaffy of Quincy; a son, Corey Mehaffy and his wife Priscilla of Des Moines, IA.; a daughter, Tamara Ehresman and her husband Keith of Quincy; five grandchildren, Alison, Emily, Elise and Amy Ehresman all of Quincy and Jordan Mehaffy of Des Moines, IA.; two brothers, Tom Mehaffy and his wife Karol of Bowen and John Mehaffy and his wife Pat of Branson, MO.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother in infancy Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in Madison Park Christian Church by the Rev. Larry Smith. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the church. Memorials may be made to Madison Park Christian Church. |
