MYRTLE F. MILHAUSER
 
Mrs. Myrtle F. Milhauser, 81, of 1242 Monroe, died at 2:00 p.m. Friday (May 17, 2002) in her home.

Born January 13, 1921 in Quincy, Myrtle was the daughter of Joseph B. and Mildred H. Reis Powell. She married Ralph Milhauser on August 30, 1941 in Quincy. He survives.

Myrtle was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Quilter's group at Trinity, a life member of the Quincy Bowling Association where she served as City Secretary for a year and served for many years as League Secretary.

Also surviving are two sons, John Milhauser and his wife Karen of Liberty and Melvin Milhauser and his wife Amy of Auburn, IL.; six grandchildren, John G. Milhauser and his wife Missie of Jacksonville, IL., Patrick M. Milhauser and his wife Beth of Quincy, Michael T. Milhauser and his wife Mandy of Liberty, Douglas A. Milhauser and his wife Angela of Becker, MN., Kenny R. Vogelpohl and Nichole L. Milhauser both of Auburn; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Robert H. Powell and his wife Bertie of Sanford, FL.; a sister, Nona Plawer and her husband Ralph of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Milhauser was preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy; and a brother, Joseph F. "Bud" Powell.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Trinity United Church of Christ by the Rev. Timothy White. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Monday from 9:00 until the time of services at Trinity Church.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Church or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
