| Elmer Paul Overmyer, 81, of the Illinois Veterans Home, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday (May 24, 2001) in Blessing Hospital. Born April 1, 1920 in Rochester, IN., Elmer was the son of Benjamin and Blanche Sanders Overmyer. He married Juno Overmyer in Gainesville, TX. She survives. Mr. Overmyer served his country during WWII in the army. He worked as a union laborer for several years. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the All Faiths Chapel of the Illinois Veterans Home by the Rev. James McCoy. Burial with military honors was in Sunset Cemetery. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. |
