Mr. Roger D. Parrick, 65, of
2606 Lexi Ln., died at 10:03 a.m. Saturday
(August 21, 2004) in his home.
Born April 21, 1939 in Clayton, Roger was the son of William and Ruth
Bliss Parrick. He married Sandra Hainline on October 3, 1967 in Quincy.
She survives.
Roger enjoyed fishing, playing cards and working on old cars. He was
a devoted father who loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and
enjoyed spending time with them.
He was first employed at Rod Smith Chevrolet and Steve Nosser Ford in
the parts department and later for the city of Quincy in the street
department. He retired in 1979 due to ill health.
Surviving are two sons, Shaun and Robert Parrick of Quincy; three
daughters, Brenda Jones and her husband Daniel of LaGrange, MO.; Yolanda
Money and her husband Tim of Winchester, TN.; and Cindy Fahlgren and her
husband Mike of Overland Park, KS.;twelve grandchildren, Austin Parrick
of
Quincy, Ashley and Matthew Money of Winchester, TN.,Shannon Whitehead
and
her husband James of Fowler, Cory Walton and Fiance' Nicole Drage of Canton,
MO., Ariel Jones of LaGrange, MO., Jaime Fahlgren of the U.S. Air Force
stationed in S.D., Josh and Danielle Fahlgren of Overland Park, Ks., Myron
McCord of Blue Springs, MO., Joey Taylor of Keokuk, IA., and Zachariah
Stice
of Quincy; three great grandchildren Dillan and Rylie Whitehead of Fowler
and Brian McCord of Blue Springs, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Parrick was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cathy
Stice; one brother, Floyd Parrick; and one sister Alice Goehl.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the
Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral home by the Rev. George Tomko.
Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and until the time
of service Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the Roger Parrick Memorial Fund.
