| Mrs. Margaret L. Peters, 72, of 2004 Jackson, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday (November 16, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born February 11, 1930 in Sigsbee, Missouri, Margaret was the daughter of Willard V. and Jessie M. Redman Preston. She married Richard J. Peters on June 4, 1949 in Quincy. He died February 9, 1997. Margaret was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Surviving are three sons, Gary L. Peters and his wife Tina of O'Fallon, MO., Larry R. Peters and his wife Barbara of Quincy and Perry V. Peters of Phoenix, AZ.; four grandchildren, Brian Peters and his wife Kelly and Mike Peters all of St. Charles, MO., Jeff Peters of O'Fallon, MO. and Natalie Peters of Quincy; a sister, Alvessa Kurk and her husband Everett of Joplin, MO.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Daniel Richard Peters; two sisters, Virginia Watkins and Laveta Pendleton; and two brothers, Leo Preston and a brother in infancy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Mary Catholic Church by the Rev. Michael Kuse. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home. A Christian wake services will be held Monday evening at 5:00 in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or the Blessing Foundation
