FLORENCE EVELYN PRACHT
 

Ms. Florence Evelyn Pracht, 84, of Timberpoint Health Care Center in
Camp Point, formerly of Liberty, died at 11:24 p.m. Friday (November 19,
2004) at the home.

Born July 18, 1920, in Liberty Township, Florence Evelyn was the
daughter of Fred L. and Florence Mae Herzog Pracht.

Florence Evelyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Liberty and the
Order of the Eastern Star Liberty Chapter #392. She grew up on the family
farm in Liberty Township where they raised and trained Standard Bred Race
Horses. She and her family and many friends participated in Harness Racing
on various race tracks throughout the state.

Florence Evelyn graduated from Payson Seymour High School and Quincy
College. She taught in rural grade schools in Liberty Township and then
served at Post Mistress at the Liberty Post Office.

Her greatest joy and love in life for over 45 years was her work at
Chaddock School. She had various job titles including bookkeeper, school
historian, school principal, and secretary to the president. Florence Evelyn
touched the lives of many students and they remained in touch with her
throughout the years.

Surviving are two cousins, Melvin Pracht and his wife Ruby of Quincy
and Mary Margaret Owens; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one cousin, Elmer Pracht.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 at the Zehender
Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Richard Bartell. Burial will
be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 until the time of services
at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Timberpoint Health Care Center.
