| Mr. Charley Thomas Priest Sr., 84, of 1728 Stull, died at 8:00 a.m. Thursday (October 31, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born October 3, 1918 in Lawton, Oklahoma, Charley was the son of Alex and Eula Glidewell Priest. He married Vera I. Austin on October 18, 1948 in Palmyra, Missouri. She survives. Charley enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Union Local #919. Charley was employed in Civil Service in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma for over 15 years. In 1954 he began work in construction until his retirement in 1980. Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Willis of Quincy and Brenda Klement and her husband Louis of Mendon; two sons, Richard Priest and his wife Carla of Albuquerque, N.M. and Charley T. Priest Jr. and his wife Carol of Crossville, AL.; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Priest and his wife Bernice of Apache, OK.; and a sister, Mildred West of Hazelton, IN.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Priest was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and four sisters. Cremation rites were accorded to Mr. Priest. No services are planned. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. |
