| Mr. Cecil E. Pugh, 87, of 2215 Spruce, died at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday (April 24, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born February 15, 1915, in Shelby County, MO., Cecil was the son Marvin and Bessie Pryor Pugh. He married Dorothy M. Staggs on April 19, 1942 in Palmyra, MO. She survives. Mr. Pugh was a member of Faith Christian Church. He was a Past President and a charter member of Mississippi Valley Historic Antique Auto Club. Cecil was a Past Master of Lambert Masonic Lodge #659 and a member of Quincy Consistory. Cecil was a loving husband and dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He and Dorothy recently renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas, Nevada celebrating 60 years of marriage He was employed at Packaging Corporation of America for 27 years until his retirement. Also surviving are three daughters, Judith Pennock and her husband Charles of Corpus Christi, TX., Jeanne Long and her fiancé Mark Alexander of Quincy, and Lori Odijk and her husband Andre of Afton, MO.; one son, Douglas Lee Pugh of Champaign, IL.; eight grandchildren, Kevin Harness, Kim Harper and her husband Dennis and Connie Harness all of Corpus Christi, TX., Cathy Garcia and her husband John of San Antonio, TX., Kent Harness and his wife Becky of Austin, TX., Dana Richardson and her husband David of Matthews, MO., and Angela Odijk and Pascal Odijk, both of Afton, MO.; and one sister, Lora Lee Gash of Palmyra, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Marion Pugh. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Henry Pratt and the Rev. Anthony Schmidt. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Lambert Masonic Lodge #659 will conduct Masonic Services Sunday evening at 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or to the Faith Christian Church. |
