Mr. Scott Luther Reagan, 30, of 226 North 14th, died at 2:00 a.m. Sunday (February 16, 2003) in his home. Born January 7, 1973 in West Allis, Wisconsin, Scott was the son of Luther and Mary Staats Reagan. Scott was a 1991 graduate of Quincy High School. He received an Associate Degree from John Wood Community College and attended Western Illinois University. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and had attended Madison Park Christian Church. He was currently employed at Knapheide Manufacturing Company and was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local 822. Scott enjoyed golfing and bowling and watching a variety of sports in person and on television. Watching Nascar Racing was his favorite. Scott also had a special place in his heart for animals. He helped the Humane Society whenever possible and dearly loved and spoiled his own cat, Nikki P. He was a very creative and was a gifted artist. He won a state award for a poster he made in the 5th grade. Scott was a very loving son and brother who brought joy and happiness into all the lives he touched. He was always happy to help anyone whenever the need arose. His compassion and caring attitude was an inspiration. Surviving is his mother, Mary Reagan of Quincy; his father, Luther Reagan of Quincy; a brother, Jason Michael Reagan of Quincy; several Aunts and Uncles, including, Michael Staats of Waukesha, WI and Linda LaFrance and her husband Jim of Adams, WI; and two cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Hazel Staats; his paternal grandparents, J. B. and Estelle Reagan; and a cousin, Jeffrey Reagan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Madison Park Christian Church by Pastor Bruce Willard. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10:00 until the time of services at Madison Park Christian Church.
